PPU TRAININGS FIRST TUESDAY

 

Orientation:
WHAT/Who IS PPU
PORTLAND PARENT UNION?
Mandatory Class
All members, volunteers and new members must take these workshops: All Total 6hrs.
  • cultural competency

  • ppu history

  • our programs/campaigns

  • our platform

  • grassroots organizing training

  • how to promote ppu/media

  • parent leadership training

Curriculums will repeat every six months. You are welcome to come in anytime. As long as you get your mandatory 6 hours in sooner or later. 



First Tuesday is set up for orientation and training. Sometimes we will utilize the space for special meetings.Resulting in 90 minutests for training and 90 minutes for our special meeting. As of Jan 2015 the MRC steering committee will be meeting in that space also.....

"Connected by 25" reports that thousands of Portland area youth are disconnected - not in school and not employed. Reconnecting Youth is all about reaching these young people, helping them reconnect with a wide range of available options, regardless of the school district in which they live.
